Valentine’s Day Card : Hearty Animals

Valentine's Day Card Hearty Animals
The girl’s class is going to celebrate Valentine’s Day next Friday and as part of their celebration, they will be exchanging Valentine’s cards. Since we will be very busy preparing for Chinese New Year next week, I decided to help her in making the cards today when the boy was taking his afternoon nap. As I wasn’t in the mood to do something new, I decided to recycle some old craft idea instead. I took down the old craft project which we did 4 years ago from our basement and asked the girl to create similar hearty animals for her cards.

With the hearts cutout that I pre-cut for her, she began to write the Valentine’s message, and create each and every card by herself. After making about half a dozen of them, she started to be creative and created hearty flowers, butterfly and dragonfly, which are not from my original patterns. Seeing that she is using her creativity to create something new, makes me really happy! πŸ™‚ I think all the cards look really lovely, don’t you think so?

  4. Hello–stumbled upon you through the Readomatic–these cards are TOO CUTE! You have a very creative daughter. I think we’re going to have some snow days coming up…perhaps I’ll have my kids work on some of these with leftover scrapbook materials instead of purchasing Valentine’s. Great idea. πŸ™‚
