homemade thanksgiving cards

Thanksgiving is just round the corner and tomorrow is The girl’s last day of school before the Thanksgiving holidays, so The girl and I had to made these simple cards today for her teachers and friends. Ya, last minute work. πŸ˜›

The craft idea is from DLTK’s site. Originally it recommends using finger paints, but we used the oval shape cutouts in the shades of the Fall instead. Of course I know it will make a more personalized card if we used finger printing, but because Niklas is down with a cold and was running a low grade fever, I know I didn’t have much patience and time to supervise and clean up the mess that The girl would create while making the cards. Oh well… Anyway, I’m really happy with how the cards turn out. The turkeys were really cute. The girl had so much fun making the card all by herself with very little help from me. πŸ™‚

  1. Very tedious leh! To actually cut all those small oval shape? Nikkita deserves A+! Btw, just out of curiosity, do you cut her hair? Or salon? It’s very neat! πŸ˜€

  2. Beautiful work. Good job!

  3. I hope Nikita is feeling better now…

I noticed that her little bro was looking at her making the cards (last pic). Seems like he can’t wait to join in πŸ™‚

  4. That is a lovely turkey card.

  5. Erika, still better than using the paints. Imagine the mess that I have to clean after that… hmm… I would rather spend sometime cutting the paper man! πŸ˜›
