crafts – gingerbread candy houses

Gingerbread Candy House #1:

Original craft idea from here.

Materials used:
2 pieces of interlocking wine bottle divider cardboards. (You can get this from any Grocery or wine stores.)
Markers for coloring.

Since it is pretty self-explanatory, I will not going into detail on how to make it. (I’m lazy la! 😛 )

Gingerbread Candy House #2:

Materials used :
Craft sticks
Cardboards
Colorful Markers
Glue

Got these colorful craft sticks from the Dollar Tree shop (for $1 of course!) and made this with Nikita 2 days ago. She enjoyed helping me to apply glue on the ends of the stick and stacked the sticks, while I helped to position them to form the house structure. I used the leftover cardboard from the previous Gingerbread house project to make the roof and the base of the house. To complete this project, Nikita then colored the “candy rooftop” with rainbow colors. She enjoyed this craft very much. :)

  1. Ah, must try, must try! Not sure Sara can colour as neatly as Nikita can – she’s a little younger and still not colouring within lines well. Nice colourful project to keep her busy!

  2. I like this! Was wondering what I could do with the sticks. Thank you :) Nikita colour very well…
