jack-o-lantern mask craft

We did this craft yesterday evening and the girl enjoyed it very much. This morning when she woke up, she remembered it and even told me that she was going to bring it to show her friends at school. I was so surprised to hear it because she has never initiated to bring anything for ‘show & tell’. Then at pick up, I asked about her show & tell, she said in proud tone, “I showed everyone the pumpkin, and they said ‘wow!’ ” 🙂

Oh… A quick update. There are no more tears when I drop the girl off at school. All thanks to Popo’s (my mom) magical words. Last Thursday, I Skyped my mom for chitchat and I was telling her that the girl still cried every morning before school. Then, when the girl came by to talk to Popo, and the clever Popo said to her, “诗媛长大了,上学不可以哭. 姐姐和哥哥都是开开心心的上学, 你也要开心的上学. 好吗?” (Girl is a big girl now; don’t cry when you go to school. Your cousins are always happy to go to school, so must you. Ok?) She said ok and really goes to school with a smiling face from that day onwards. :)
